Using The Kitchen Aid Blender: A Fruit Smoothie  Add/Read Comments

Having been sent a rather splendid KitchenAid Blender... hankering after one of their food mixers but beggers can't be choosers and all that... thought I had better try it out. A small recipe book arrived too and included a recipe for a fruit smoothie. One decent way to up the fruit intake and, I have to say, was damn tasty. Adding a dash of rose water lent a delicious exotic 'gewurztraminer-like' scent and flavour dimension. With none available locally the pomegrantes were missed out.

New Rose from the KitchenAid Blender Cookbook
serves 2

1 pomegranate
1 papaya
1 banana
150g fresh lychees
100g fresh raspberries
300ml pressed apple juice
2 tbsp rose water
juice of 1 lime

The pomegranate should be halved and the juice squeezed out. The papaya, lychees and banana peeled and chopped (deseed the papaya). All into the blender and liquefy until smooth. Best after a little chilling.
