UK Food Blogs - April 2007 List Add/Read Comments

Several new additions warrant an update to the list of UK Food bloggers. In fact this is a food and wine blog list. No UK beer blogs as yet though, which I find surprising, although perhaps I am not looking in the right place!
New site additions this month are in bold.
Not all the sites listed supply an RSS feed a couple are not exclusively concerned with food or drink. Please let me know if anyone is missing or if you discover a UK based food/drink blog what needs to be included.
UPDATE: Thanks to Eating Leeds and The Pinotage Club for some late additions; including an Ale blog. I am sure there are many more.

Hi Andrew,
It's nice to have a brit-list - I've discovered quite a few sites I didn't know about!
Thanks for the link to mine also,
Sophie

Cant believe I left you off the list again Yorkshire!

Hi, thank you for the listing! I's been really good to see some other blogs similar to my own, I'll be updating my feeds!
> "No UK beer blogs as yet though"
I'm unclear what you mean by this - Pint Of Ale tries to be devoted to real ale and the pubs that serve it in the UK. Matt and I live in Leeds although we try to include pub reviews from wherever our travels take us. My recent holiday to Amsterdam may be skewing the "UK" bit a little! :-)
It's nice to come across your blog. I'll keep myself up to date with your postings!
Mike.

Hi Michael
The quote you give was written before Pint of Ale was added to the list - Eating Leeds sent me the details.
I am sure there must be plenty more Ale related blogs in the UK apart from yours though.

Hi Andrew, one of the most entertaining and frequently updated beer blogs (not sure if you've seen it), would be Stonch's (London-based) Beer Blog at http://stonch.blogspot.com/.

No problem thanks for adding me Andrew.

Hi Andrew,
Just shows how on the ball you are that you've kicked my old blog into touch and added the new site (although it's not officially live yet) - Top marks for staying on top of things!

A really useful list. I've just found Google Co-op and created what I hope is a useful
UK Food Blogs Search, a custom search of all these blogs (and more listed by trig at UK Food Bloggers Association).
Scribbled down by: Nick at The Tracing Paper on April 10, 2007 3:36 PM
Thanks for that Nick but I have had a UK food bloggers search (using Google Co-op) running for an age. It is accessible under the grazr display box on the front page.
The links here are active blogs; ones that have been updated in the last couple of months it doesn't include the abandoned, fly-by-night whims or neglected sites that pepper the blogosphere.

Thank you for adding me to your list. It gave me a nice warm glow! Will report on the breadmaking. My hubby & children do the breadmaking. Mine either sinks, stinks or has a brick like feel!

I've been loving Kristen in London's blog recently - but she seems to have locked it to non-invited members. I'm hoping she might see this comment and open it up to her public once more! Alternatively, would you be able to email her? It doesn't seem much fun having locked blogs on the list! I'm sure it's just a mistake, so hopefully we can get back to reading soon!

I've recently come across another good UK Food Blog - The Food Philosophy (thefoodphilosophy.blogspot.com).
There are also a couple of government food-related blogs, rather different but often offering an interesting insight into the thinking of the government and its agencies on food -
David Milliband (www.davidmiliband.defra.gov.uk)
Andrew Wadge - chief scientist at the Food Standards Agency (www.fsascience.net).

Love this list - wondered if I might put myself forward? I'd like to be amongst such interesting company
Scribbled down by: Bron on May 10, 2007 2:00 PM
Bron and Rach - thanks for the details I have added you to the search and sidebar list and will post a full updated list next month. A link back would be appreciated.
Apple and Spice, though binky, seems to be running as normal!
