I'm always on the look out for props - cheap bowls, napkins, cutlery and the like. My attention has shifted recently to routing around in skips and dump bins for 'backgrounds'. I found a lovely piece of cracked marble the other day but it was so damn heavy I couldn't possibly have carried it home.

What I did discover, withering away behind my fathers greenhouses (yep, plural, he grows orchids) last weekend, was this piece of board resplendent with peeling paint. It certainly implies a 'something' in photos such as this onion one; not quite sure what though!

Looks great! :)

What an excellent and original idea! Could it be that there are ideas in the pipeline for more of these wonderful photos along the same concept?

P.s. I love the spam blocking software you've got there, very quaint

As luck would have it Trig, I have turned the board over and plonked a wine bottle on it for a photo to use on Spittoon...

Wow, what a great photo. This is an artistical composition. I love it.

I have often wondered this...thought that maybe people just had this many different interesting counter tops in their homes. Now I know the secret.

This is a great find and of course, a brilliant photo!
