Not sure exactly how many different Bakwell Tarts people can come up with but here is a little blog-event to support one of England's disappearing dishes. According to the Independent the humble Bakewell Tart is dying, Time to rectify that me thinks!

So let us have us a little one-off blog event. Post your bakewell tart recipes/pictures/experiences by the end of June.

So, um, not to be dense, but IS there an event? I missed What's for Pud!

You are right Alana, I didn't actually give any details... corrected! Sorry about that.

Sounds good. Should be able to fit this in around the middle of June so the timing is spot on! I've never even eaten a bakewell tart so I'm looking forward to it!

:)

Alex

Not sure if I'm up to a recipe ( but will try and find time) but I must admit an addiction to the sugary sweet Mr Kipling variety which I should probably get over.

It seems, the trackback did not work. So here's a "German" Bakewell Tart: http://ostwestwind.twoday.net/stories/2227355/

Hi Andrew,

Very tasty. Long live the Bakewell Pudding/Tart!

Hi Andrew, I hope it's not too late...
You might have to take 10% off for the tardiness as I had no initial plans of participating, but here's the link to my post if you're interested:
