Sugar and Coffee - For Still Life Is...  Add/Read Comments

After my poor entries earlier to Still Life Is... (a flickr based photo challenge/technique improving group) I wanted one more try at the sugar theme before it is replaced. Still not happy with the focusing on the sugar cubes; I am wondering if it is the sugar itself? Not colour alterations or over sharpening, just a little crop forced upon me after straightening. Would have loved to capture a little steam rising from the liquid too but by the time I stopped titting about and captured this shot it was cold.
