After Berlin, a day of rest before, jetting off to Geneva. Three random photos. The first taken in the hills above the Rhone a short distance from the city – of vineyards.
The second another of those lucky shots, an abstract of the lights from the waterside and the boats on the Rade de Geneva. The Jet d’Eau is the white blur a third way in from the left.
Finally an evening shot from the Quai du Mont-Blanc looking across to the where the previous picture was taken later that evening. As with all the photos you can click on each for a larger version.

  1. Geneva is a very beautiful city. I love to got there. The tram is very practival and makes the city feels more like a village.
The surrounding area is also incredibly beautiful with natural parks, vineyards and the occasional cow :) taking up the view.
    Can’t wait to comeback.

Great shots, I love the first one – such a big sky. Lovely.

Also love the first one – what lens were you using?
And were you also surprised at the number of vineyards relatively close to geneva or was it only me?! WHen we drove round the northern half of the lake from Montreux to Geneva, I was floored by how many vineyards there were!

  4. Andrew says:

The top vineyard photo was shot using my 28-50 lens; probably set on the widest level. I’m sure the details are stored in the data section on Flickr.
I was surprised on how small Geneva felt only 15 minutes from the city and vineyards.

Geneva is a funny little place… an amazing international city, but almost a village in some ways. Take it from me, its a great place to live!
