The penultimate day in Sweden was spent at Sörbyn, a fair bit inland from the Finnish border and a little north of Luleå. A superb meal at the Sörby Turism and Konferen’s restaurant, Kallkällan but for me it was the setting – simple wooden cabins overlooking a most serene lake. While the autumnal colours burned under the previous evenings russet sunset and the lake managed to disorientate with a near perfect, undisturbed, reflection of the sky; the morning fog totally altered the feel of the Sorbyn lake. I was up early; way before anyone else so managed to experience a few moments of total, eerie, silence. These posts are not in chronological order; it matters not, I hope, for the photographs are the important thing here.

OMG, these are INSPIRATIONAL!! You could sell them to IKEA for their greeting cards. Tripod? Or just a steady hand? Just gorgeous, espetially the one with the rowing boat…
oh thanks… I’m rather pleased with them. No tripod, although I wish I had taken one. I need to buy a new light weight one I think.
Brilliant photos…super.
That new lense really shows here..
Great photos with an air of mystery! Looks like it was a fantastic trip.
Love the dock photo. Great shot!
