Nigel Slater's Plum Cake Add/Read Comments

Texture and flavours are superb. Moist, not overly sweet with the walnuts adding much needed crunch. The recipe is from Nigel Slater's Diaries. The photo is for the latest Foodography photo challenge; the theme, selected by me, is Let them Eat Cake.
Sadly, even after nearly 30 attempts at photographing this cake (sliced, with and without props and a different background), this is the best image I could create. Despite its lovely flavours the cake just looks boring...

On the contrary, Andrew! I loved this photo when I first saw it in my reader! It's so unpretentious. It's simple, natural and down to earth... much like most of Nigel's food.

Well that's nice to know Bonnie! One of my failings appears to be being overly critical of my photos.
By the way the cake was lovely.

The cake looks lovely (not boring!). The tablecloth need ironing, however, which is why I switched to using paper backdrops - no ironing, much less expensive, and easily replaced upon staining. I bet this plum cake tasted wonderful!

Hi Latifa, you have to join the group first. Then once you have uploaded your images to your space you then have to add them to the group. The add to group menu appears above each image once uploaded.
