Here we are at a secret Black Hat lunch somewhere in north London. Our table was hosted by Douglas Blyde and Riccardo Prosecco, who provided the wines to accompany each course. A mighty fun time was had by all even if the wait between courses was exceedingly long! For a little more flavour of the event do have a watch of the Wine Passionistas little video – it imparts more of the feel of the lunch than these still images… The idea behind these pop-up lunches is the secret location…
In the gallery there are shots of the main course, a rubbish photo (see I told you I need to invest in some decent lenses!) of the roast pork with a decent slice of crackling on the top and the dessert, a really tasty tart with a North African or Middle Eastern influence I believe… a little too sweet to manage the Riccardo Cartisse Prosecco and the accompanying ice-cream deadened the wine. On their own though delightful…
