There is this little restaurant I know down Venice way. You have to grab a ferry to Mazzorbo Island, jump ship at the Bisol owned Venissa hotel to which the restaurant is attached. It’ll only be open between the spring and autumn but you can guarantee the freshest seasonal ingredients will be used – hell you can even see them growing in the gardens!

The menu:
Trancio di baccalá arrosto, crema di barbabietola rossae mela verde
Tortelli di code di vitello con slasa di ricotta e basilica, ‘pevarasse’
Fletti di orate e mormora nostrane con ragout di vegetali della Tentuta
Crostatina con crème Chantilly e ciliegine

  3. Not sure what the camera settings were at the time but we were sitting outside so the light was fine and natural. A steady hand too I guess…

    my husband and I had lunch for my birthday at the Venissa in Mazzorbo septeber 23th 2010…it was delicious and the chef made it an unforgettable day…we recommend it to all our friends
