I have just eaten a most deliciously intense truffle - vibrantly fresh, pure apricot flavour. My gorging explains why there is just the one yellow truffle in the photograph. The egg is a Hotel Chocolate Exuberantly Fruity Extra Thick Shelled Easter Egg (read more on The Foodie List). The shell, in all its 'extra thickness', is milk chocolate with a ripple of dried raspberry pieces imparting a lovely sophisticated flavour. The egg was a free sample sent as a prequel to something a little special that I can't mention until Monday!
