London Food Bloggersmeet.
Before yesterday's wander around the Covent Garden Food Fair I spent a good couple of hours in the company of a bunch of food bloggers. Couldn't have asked for a better bunch of people to spend lunch with.Sam, of Becks and Posh, on a flying visit to London arranged for us to meet in London's oldest wine bar - Gordon's. Just down the road besides Charring Cross this half-derelict entrance leads into a cavernous vaulted cellar where, what could be the biggest foodie-bloggers gathering in the UK to date, we sat around and talked about blogs, wine, food and all that type of stuff.
Pictured from left to right are a giggling Keiko of Nordljus (I didn't realise I was sooo funny!), the delightful Sam, then Christina of Thorngrove Table and at the back behind the candles Jeanne of Cooksister fame. On the left is Anna who has just started her Baking for Britain blog. (I would just like to mention Baking for Britain is looking mighty fine with some excellent recipes and lovely photographs).
Not pictured is Johanna of the Passionate Cook. We were joined later by Monkey Gland (his proper name escapes me) of Jam Faced and just as I was leaving to go to the fair by Cecile of English Pastis who I didn't get to chat too. We were expecting a couple more bloggers to attend - perhaps they arrived after I departed.
I would just like to pass on my thanks to Sam for arranging the lunch and giving each of us a little box of chocolates she lugged all the way from San Francisco. Delightful.
