Last Sunday, up early. Dawn-like early. Absolutely no one about. From my cabin on the 11th deck up to the open air on top I saw no one. None of the ever present cleaning team, none of the courteous crew. The feeling was weird. On a ship of capable of holding 5,000 odd people, up on top, in the middle of the Channel there was just me, the glorious rising sun and the throb of those powerful engines that push the Celebrity Eclipse around our shores.

The ship wasn't full though, just a two night naming cruise, with a couple of bloggers, a horde of travel agents and the glitterati of the cruise-journalism crowd.
