The trees, now bedecked in their Autumnal finery, are not as glorious as the papers reported they would be. Thoughts of a home equivalent of a New England Fall have failed to materialise, damn those headline writers. But surrounding Henley the trees are rich with pine cones and conkers, while underneath the last of the blackberries hang on in a sad bedraggled manner. Autumn is here.
