Mad About Madrid lists Café & Té as one of the Ten Places I Would Never Eat or Drink in Madrid. I had a breakfast in there.

It wasn't too bad. Service was several steps ahead of the lovely looking cake/coffee shop further down the street. This branch is in the pedestrianised section of Arenal. An impressively strong Cafe Guatemala 'Vulcan de Oro' came in at €1.60, a Croissat Plancha con manteuilla y marmelada (toasted croissant with jam) €1.90 and a bloody good tropical smoothie at €3.95.
