The add-on to Spittoon - Recipes, Photographs and Travel
Two versions of the same photo; both having undergone some extreme work via Photoshop filters. Can’t decide if the first, in a pseudo HDR mode is superior to the dark, saturated version. The view is of a canal side on Burano Island, Venice.

hmmm…. I would go for the first, but would up te midtone contrast a little. It looks fine at first, but when you compare it to the bottom one the houses look a little washed out. Like the detail on the boat though.
you are of course quite right; a combination of the two might be good. I shall have to play…
