A deletion and a couple of new additions makes it seem worthwhile republishing the British Food and Drink Blogs list. Not all the sites listed supply an RSS feed and a couple are not exclusively concerned with food. Please let me know if anyone is missing or a new blog needs to be included.

Hello - I have followed your site with interest over the last few months, whilst I have started my own blog. Initially, I am reviewing some of Delia Smith's recipes but I expect to broaden out to include other popular chefs and writers. I would like to be included in your reciprocal links, if possible. My blogspot address is delias-recipes-reviewed.blogspot.com Would you please let me know if this is of interest to you. Regards, Margaret.

Thanks for listing me guys. I don't want to be pedantic at such a great moment, but could you please correct the spelling of my name. Many thanks. Trig.

I think you should rename this list Food Blogs in Britain rather than British Food Blogs.
Scribbled down by: sam on November 17, 2006 7:36 PM
Why do you say that Sam?
Scribbled down by: Andrew on November 17, 2006 7:54 PM
well i consider myself a british food blog, because, well I am british and proud of it. I do not ever for one second consider myself an American food blog because, well, I am not American. I do consider myself as a food blog in America though.
I am not saying I think you should put me on your list, I am not griping about that, but personally I think of Jeanne as a South African food blog in Britain and Johanna as an Austrian food blog in Britain and Keiko as a Japanese food blog in Britain etc. None of them are British. They are all ex pats of other coutries.
I suppose the blog itself is british in that it is created in Britain, but because it is the bi-product of its creator, I think it may still have the original citizenship of its creator too.
what do you reckon?
Scribbled down by: sam on November 22, 2006 5:46 PM
Aaah but you see I don't view your blog as British at all! Of course you *are* British but you live in San Francisco, you write about American things, you use American measurements in recipes and the topics you write about are predominantly of concern to your locality - of less interest than if you were living in Bath say and writing about the food items around there. So although your writing has a distinct Englishman-abroad type tang occasionally, I can't agree that yours is a 'British' blog. It is more about the subject matter and location than the nationality of the writer.
If it was uniquely about the 'author' then it would be Food Blogs Written By British People (the world over)...

thankfully "brit blogs" doesn't agree with you and I am allowed to be one of them ;P
