On the move shortly (again!) so trying to use up all those little packs of ingredients and odds and ends lurking at the back of the cupboard. How much 'stuff' can one bloke accumulate in just 5 months?
Found a handful of ground almonds (about 60g), a scant 50g of some Italian flour or other and light brown sugar (about 80g) a-lurking - all combined with three egg whites (and one yolk) and 60g melted butter and poured, with hope, into a muffin pan. Only enough to fill four and a half holes though. Topped with a little chopped, fresh, apricot and baked. Twenty minutes late these appeared! Not bad mate... not bad. Plenty of soft brown sugar remains...

Are you upgrading in Henley or moving somewhere further away? In any case, I totally sympathise. I'm currently in the process of clearing up and cleaning my cupboards, too. You'd be amazed how much one can store during 7 years. Looks like I'll be surviving on buckwheat, Japanese curry cubes and pearl barley for the rest of the month:)

I am off to the next village down the river - Lower Shiplake; it is just 20 minutes or so along the river bank to the house or one stop on the Regatta Line. If (and it is still not signed and sealed) we get the flat it has a wonderful kitchen that I cant wait to get into!
