Seems the latest photo-fad is to subject phone camera snaps with an Instragram filter. Nothing wrong with this of course, the filters often impart a great feel to a picture. They do however appear rather similar after a while with a bleached out, colour faded 1970′s look. Not wanting to buck a trend these three photos, from the Hush Heath apple orchard, have been given my take on the style. Conjured in photoshop rather than in-camera though.Hush Heath is the estate that produces the
Balfour Brut Rosé sparkling wine. Until my visit last week I was unaware they have extensive apple orchards, in addition to vine plantings of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, and produce a still apple juice under the ‘Jake’s Tree Pure Apple Juice’ brand.

Hark you and your desaturated vintage style pics! Down with the kids, you are! ;o) Personally (as you know!!) I am too addicted to vibrant colour but have had fun playing with photoshop to try out this look. Nice snaps
Even at my age ‘down with the cool kids’, who woulda thought it!
